Steve Moreland is a cutting-edge music educator who has reimagined high school modern music education. Recognized as one of Yamaha’s 40 Under 40 Music Educators, Steve has been featured in prominent publications and podcasts, including The Associated Press and Fine Arts Education Podcasts. He has also received multiple nominations for the Grammy's Educator Award, highlighting his exceptional contributions to the field.
With over 17 years of teaching experience and a decade of running a music entertainment company in Austin, TX, Steve brings a fresh and innovative perspective to his work. Trained as a classical musician, he masterfully bridges the gap between traditional music education and the dynamic, ever-evolving music industry, empowering students at all levels—from beginners to advanced performers.
As the Director of Fine Arts at St. Michael’s Prep, Steve has pioneered a modern and creative approach to fine arts education, fostering a program that blends tradition with innovation to inspire and prepare the next generation of musicians and artists.
