Dance

Welcome to the esteemed Dance department at St. Michael’s Prep, where we nurture a passion for movement, culture, and artistic expression.
Our program is dedicated to cultivating practical movement skills, enhancing movement perception, delving into the rich tapestry of historical and cultural dance heritage, and appreciating movement as a profound form of artistic expression.

In addition to honing their dance abilities, students explore the dynamic interrelationship between the arts and other academic disciplines, fostering a holistic understanding of the world around them.

As students progress in their dance journey from as early as 3rd grade, they have the opportunity to tailor their path to their interests and aspirations. Whether focusing on ballet, jazz, or pursuing an independent course tailored to their unique talents and goals, students are supported in their pursuit of excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Beyond the studio, students can immerse themselves in the vibrant extracurricular activities offered by the Fine Arts Department. From performances to competitions, students have the chance to showcase their skills and passion for dance, including participating in the renowned Drill Team. Performing at various school events, such as football games, students not only enrich their own experiences but also contribute to the vibrant spirit of our school community.
At St. Michael’s Prep, we believe in empowering dancers to explore their potential, embrace diversity, and strive for artistic excellence. Join us as we celebrate the joy of movement and the beauty of artistic expression.
