Time and Treasure

Grandparents

We Love Our Grandparents

Countless research studies show that family involvement at school is a strong predictor of student success. At St. Michael’s Prep, that family warmly extends to include our grandparents too! Whether through gifts of time, talent, prayer, or treasure, our grandparents have a significant impact on the student experience. Here’s how you can get involved to make a difference, build new friendships, and create fond memories!

  • Join the Club!

Membership in the Grandparents Club is open to all grandparents and honorary grandparents through a gift of any amount to the Operation 10-4 Annual Fund or Endowment. By making our school a philanthropic priority for your family, you leave a legacy of education and faith for students today and for future generations to follow. All donors who join this special club will be recognized in various ways, and will receive many exciting benefits and special invitations throughout the year!

  • Get Involved

St. Michael’s Prep is blessed by an extraordinary group of dedicated volunteers who make our community the special place it is. Whether you would like to be a classroom mystery reader, serve as a Eucharisitic Minister at Mass, help in the library, or lend your party planning skills for a special event, we are holding a spot for you! Contact Jeni Messina to learn how you can get involved.
  • A Community of Faith & Service

By promoting a prayerful community of faith and service, our grandparents serve as role models for all of us to follow. We invite you to join us for weekly Mass and community Rosary, and ask that you include our beloved school, students, faculty, and staff in your daily prayers. Connect with Kathy Roy to participate in our spiritual life committee and activities.
  • Community Education

Throughout the year, we welcome guest speakers and subject-area experts to lead us through book studies and in-depth conversations to help guide us as we navigate our tremendous responsibilities as teachers, parents, grandparents, and guardians. We believe in nurturing a love of lifelong learning not only in our students, but also in each other and the community. Educating adults is essential to the growth and development of every child.

Lynne Sargent, St. Gabriel's founding family member and grandmother

As with most volunteering and serving, I have gotten back more than I have given from this amazing community.
