Summer at St. Michael's Prep

St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School offers a variety of summer programs that nurture and develop students’ passions, while supporting our rigorous academic curriculum. Each summer, over 300 students from the greater Austin area spend between one to seven weeks on campus, enjoying thoughtful and engaging camp experiences for instruction, enrichment, and fun. Whether you are looking for a STEAM camp, sports camp, a full-day option for your preschooler, or an academic experience, we have something for everyone. The goal is to deliver a positive, rewarding, and seamless experience for campers and their families.

Summer Camp registration for SMP families opens on January 20, 2025 with members of the Austin community invited to register for camps beginning February 1, 2025.

  • Registration

    Registration is online-only and requires a non-refundable deposit of $25 per camp. This fee will be deducted from the balance, the remainder of which will be charged to the card on file. You will receive a confirmation email after your registration and payment are complete, as well as an email with additional information the week prior to the camp’s start date.

    Click below to register through CampBrain. For camp purposes, “grade level” refers to the student’s incoming grade for the upcoming school year.
  • Dates and Hours

    Our summer camp runs for seven weeks, starting June 2, 2025, and ending July 25, 2025, with a break the entire week of July 4. Camp operates daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with drop-off available from 8:30 to 9:00am and pick-up from 4:00 to 4:30pm For half-day campers, pick-up and drop-off will be from 12:00 to 12:30pm daily. This schedule provides a full day of fun and learning to keep campers engaged all summer long!
  • Lunch Service

    Students registered for morning and afternoon sessions or full-day camp will receive the option to purchase lunch prepared by FLIK dining services. Campers are also welcome to bring their own lunch from home.
  • Extended Hours

    To make our Day Camps even more convenient, we offer early drop-off and late pick-up options for an additional fee. Parents can drop off campers as early as 7:30am and pick them up as late as 5:30pm, ensuring flexibility for busy schedules. These extended hours include supervised activities, with an afternoon snack provided to keep campers energized and happy.
  • Refunds and Cancellations

    Cancellation Policy:
    We will make every effort to offer and staff camps as described on our website. However, it is possible that circumstances can necessitate a change. In the event that a summer camp is canceled, registrants will receive a full refund. If, after an offering in the summer program has begun, it becomes apparent that the SMP staff has not been made aware of specific medical or emotional needs that cannot be accommodated, or if the camper is uncooperative with instructors or a detriment to others, the camper may be removed from any current or future camp that she/he may be registered to attend without refund.

    Registration for SMP Summer Camps is available up to the start date for any programs with openings. We will strive to honor transfer requests, based on availability within the desired program. 

    Refund Policy:
    Refunds will be issued if a cancellation is made prior to May 15th for all camps beginning in June. Refunds will be issued if a cancellation is made prior to June 15th for camps beginning in July. Cancellations made after the listed deadlines, but prior to seven days before the first day of camp, will be refunded, minus a $75.00 cancellation fee.  Cancellations made within seven days of the first day of camp will not be refunded.

    All program updates will be shared directly with those registered for summer programs.
