Upper School Latin Teacher
James studied Classics at the University of Illinois and the University of Texas at Austin where he wrote his dissertation on grammar and intertextuality in the late antique Greek epic, Orpheus' Argonautica, for which he also produced the first academic translation. He has taught Latin and Greek, as well as mythology, history, and technical subjects at the university and high school level for 20 years and has been a faculty member at St. Michael's Prep since 2014. James enjoys distance running, the intersection of Language and technology, and books that feature dragons.
