Mary Helen Acosta
Middle School Academic Dean of Humanities
Mary Helen Acosta's 18+ years in education brought her to St. Michael's Prep in middle school administration, but her devotion for developing students as readers and writers quickly led her back to the classroom where she promotes authentic literacy practices and cross-curricular application of skills. Mrs. Acosta holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rice University, and master’s degrees in Public Administration (Texas A&M) and Education (UT Arlington). She is a certified Reading Specialist in Texas.
