Dr. Andie Ferniany

Upper School English Instructor
Dr. Andie Ferniany holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Mississippi, where she taught a wide range of courses from 2019-2024, including Writing 101 and 102, surveys of British and American Literature, and Introduction to Literary Studies. She earned her MA in English from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and her BA from Auburn University. Dr. Ferniany’s teaching career began at Auburn, where she served as a peer tutor for student-athletes. Later, she spent three years at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, teaching First-Year Writing and providing supplemental instruction in the writing center for both undergraduate and graduate students. Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, practicing reformer Pilates, traveling, and spending time with her dog, Poppy.
